Robert J Bosscher

I am an artist who often struggles to know just what that means. While I’ve lived in many different places while growing up, I eventually settled in Michigan for college where I studied Studio Art and Art History. While my creative endeavors have included ceramics, painting, and other mediums, my current passion lies in fiber and textile art - namely quilting.

Because of my love for Art History, my influences extend beyond the quilting world, and include a love of the art of Mark Rothko, Monet, Felix Gonzalez Torres, and Shoji Hamada, to name a few. All artists informing and inspiring different elements of what I attempt to create.

I also have many years experience teaching and I love helping new makers explore their own creative process.

Wilberforce ‘Wilbur’ Chickpea

Known for his exacting standards and impeccable eye when it comes to quilt design, Wilberforce ‘Wilbur’ Chickpea joined the creative team in April of 2016, quickly rising within the group to the position of Quilt Inspector General. While relatively uninvolved in the construction of the quilts, Wilbur will often give his opinions on quilt layout, process, and comfort provided by the quilts.

While he lacks an eye for color, Wilbur’s design decisions are often intuitive, and based on his emotional response to each quilt.

Wilbur can often be seen trying out each new quilt and exploring the napping potential.
